The recent drop in energy prices has some raising red flags about the long-term strength and stability of the U.S. energy industry — and the Texas economy. As a conservative banker who survived (yet still wears scars from) the 1980s energy, real estate and banking crisis in Texas, I believe this is no time for panic or retreat.
